  • G400 und PCCHips-Board

    Hi!
habe ein Prob mit der G400!
Auf meinem Athlon lief si einwandfrei, dann auf nem PCChips Board installiert(P2Slot), StantardVGA geht, sobald Treiber installiert, bleibt win98 beim booten einfach stehen. Kann mir jemand en Tipp geben warum???

      ...best in the skip
Well, I don't know English, but I do know American. Is "skip" akin to a trashcan (or bin)?

A skip is essentially a bin, yes - albeit a very large one (usually)

Yes, my friend gave me an old mobo and CPU. He fried it by overclocking. It was a AMD K6-2 350 and a PC CHIPS M598. He only overclocked it to 450 (not a big jump) and the mobo fried. I think the CPU is still good.

For a K62-350 that's a HUGE jump! If it's only the MB, then it wasn't able to supply the current thus fried the regulators. But until you try that cpu on a functioning MB you won't know for sure.

Wahrscheinlich ist Ihr Motherboard Scheisse. (Lächeln Sie)

Sehhr Billig Gemacht mit sehr armer Leistung. G400 ist Hohe Leistung.

Es verlangt zu viel vom motherboard.

                Thanks Babelfish

My German is practically nonexistant, but I don't need Babelfish to figure out what Tim wrote.

Heh, well 100 MHz didn't seem like that big of a jump. Anyway, I put an old Pentium 166 in, and still no POST. The CPU might be dead too.

setzte "Assign IRQ to VGA" an in die Bios, wenn das nog nicht jetzt an ist. Hast du etwas in das PCI slot nächstes zum G400? (excusieren Sie mir für mein Deutsch)
