Brian,
You are using 2K, which treats the desktop differently. It doesn't understand there are 2 monitors, just one desktop. We are using 9x, which splits the desktop. ICQ does not know not to dock on this case.

You should be able to explain it to us, then, Maggi. For here it docks on the right side of my screen on the first monitor, when I try to move it.
Btw, same effect with Bookmarks in Netscape. You can move Netscape to the second monitor, but when you open up the bookmarks, they show on the 1st monitor.
This maybe more of a pain than just having it docked to your Main monitor, but..
what I've done is used the "Auto Hide" feature of ICQ2k, and while it's still docked to the Right of my main monitor, while it "hides" it is visible on my 2nd monitor...
Ultramon will allow you to move program windows around, even those that "won't".
I spoke briefly with Ashley a while back at Entechtaiwan, and he said he MAY incorporate something similar when he gets PowerStrip v3.xx ready for rollout.

When I was playing around with dual head (2° monitor is an IBM G40 POS), WMP7 wouldn't show video on the 2° Monitor. Weird. I think it happened under both 98 and 2k. I have since reinstalled both OSes and haven't used dualhead since (2° monitor in use on 2° system)

Hmm thanks for the help guys. I was able to move icq to the seoond monitor with that utility. But as soon as you cloick on icq after that it just docks with the 1st monitor.
I'm not sure, but I think I have mine on 2nd VGA running W98 ...
Maybe it works only because I have it on top of my 1st VGA and not aside ???
The reason for not being sure is, that I didn't connect to the I-Net since a lightning strike blasted my modem away and I didn't get a new one yet and hence I didn't run ICQ for weeks now ...
Cheers,
Maggi
PS: Right now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure that I had it on 2nd VGA, cos after disabling DH, ICQ was still on its old location, i.e. I was not able to access it anymore until I reactivated my 2nd screen and after that I could drag it back to VGA 1.

Hi Jord,
as I said above, I have my 2nd monitor on top of my primary and maybe ICQ isn't meant to dock on the upper border of VGA1 ...
Just adjust the positioning of both in disp. props. to have the 2nd on top of 1st and drag ICQ over.
Don't know though if it works to realign your monitor afterwards back to the side you had it before.
Cheers,
Maggi
