Great, it looks like they edited the PINS file to alter the RAMDAC speed. People on this forum have known how to do that for a long time (gbm). Unless they really need to drive a higher resolution than 300MHz provides, they're not doing anything more than burning out the RAMDAC, and the visual quality should be worse.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

hould be easier to dump the pins form a MAX into a file and then reprogramm a Vanilla with those pins ...
Image quality does not suffer.
Unless your monitor supports such high res setting like 2048x1536 @ 85Hz, you won't get even close to the RAMDACs limit and hence you won't damage it at all.
Besides that it should just result in performance that is identical to a MAX.
So if you OCed you Vanilla to MAX speeds for a while and didn't notice any probs, you might want to MAX it permanently.
