    in 9 days, the wait will be over and we will know if we were right to wait for the G800...

            Matrox had better make a G800 announcement at Comdex. And I hope it's a card announcement and not just a chip announcement (they announced the G450 _chip_ a couple of months (as dangled bait) before they announced the G450 card. And even the card announcement was many months before it actually shipped. And the ship date is many months before it ships in volume. And the volume shipping always preceeds quality drivers by about a year. (just kidding on that last one... but I was an early G200 owner...)

            If they only announce the chip then it's a sign we're in for a LONG wait...

            Well, DirectX 8 should soon be out. That will be one excuse that'll no longer exist.
