G450 Availability

Is the lack of availability of the G450 (and even the G400 MAX) a case of Matrox not being able to turn out enough product for demand, or a case of vaporware?

Also, at least here in SoCal, several dealers advised that the G400 MAX is no longer being produced/available.

Any thoughts/comments where to obtain one of these gems? Matrox site says "middle of November" (my satirical self wants to ask what year...)

Currently running a GeForce2 - solid drivers, dependable, great for games, but then there's that mediocre 2D image quality.

Matrox store is out of stock of both MAX and G450. Expects more of both available beginning to middle of November. Must be in production.
