  • How to adjust the video size on TV output?

When watching a video clip or DVD from my computer with Matrox G400's TV out, how do I resize the video size on TV? I noticed the side gets cut off compared to what I see on my monitor. I don't mind black bars to regain the sides. I heard it is related to the overscan (is that the right term?).

I look forward to receiving replies soon.

WIth the WIn2k PowerDesk 5.14 drivers I could just enable the tv-output mode (and in case of DVD-MAX also play back a video), and then go to display properties -> advanced -> Monitor Settings -> Adjust Current Display mode

My monitor would then switch to 50Hz (same as the tv-out) and I could adjust the output settings.

With the 5.20 drivers I can't do this any more. I don't know why, but maybe because I don't have a monitor selected within PowerDesk (but Windows itself does detect my monitor properly anyway).

dzeus, you will have to disable your dualhead then exit then reenter monitor settings.

the whole idea is to have dualhead enabled, otherwise you can't adjust the properties of the tv-out!

With dualhead disabled, it will only adjust the settings for the primary monitor head. With dualhead enabled, you can adjust the tv-out properties (or the second head properties to be more general). At least, you could in PD 5.14
