With spread spectrum I've found it to make my machines more unstable.

OK Then, try without spread spectrum first, then if it's still unstable, turn it on... to be honest, I don't have it turned on...

I tried changing the cas for the memory to 3 and changing he votage and the APG speed to normal and defualt as well as all combinations and the games still crash. I tried BGII with these config and it crashes between 2 sec to 1 minute. I lowered the cpu speed to 728 with FSB120 and the game did not crash( the five minutes that I had time to play BGII). But if I have the CPU speed of 738 FSB 125 the game crashes.

I also switched my mouse to the USB port and the IRQs look fine with about 1 to 3 things on each IRQ.

          his is geting frustrating.......

Do you have Soft Menu III on the BE6 II???

Do you have Spread Spectrum Modulated disabled??

Also do you have Mushkin PC150 HSDRAM??

On a more basic note, you might try re-seating your card. Follow Jorden's links to a thread with a picture and drawing on how to insure that the card is seated properly.

I have the soft menu III as well as Spread Spectrum Modulated disabled. I don't know if I have a Mushkin PC150 HSDRAM.

the video card is installed correctly.

I tried the program that force the APG of 1x and that did not help. BGII still crashes in about a minute.

How do you disable the comm ports 1 & 2 ? my modem is using comm port 5 and 1,2 are not used.

Pull your MX400 and see if that is your problem.

I'll add... that has to be one of the oddest looking IRQ lists I've ever seen, even with ACPI!

I'm thinking about reformating the whole drive to see if that works, maybe there is a hardware or software that is causing this, else I will down clocking my cpu until it is stable.

What about the CPU temp, have you tried monitoring it with HWdoctor (on the abit CD)

Maybe the Cooler isn't fitted right and the CPU is running hot.

If you´re ok up to 120 FSB but not above,
I´ll eat my hat if has anything to do with your IRQ:s.

If your CPU can´t take 133 FSB your stuck with one of two things:
                        bad luck or insufficient cooling.

Of course there´s no guarantee that your CPU will take this much o/c just because several others do.

I took out the fan from the video card and reinstall it to make syre it was installed correctly, removed the old thermal glue and put on new thermal glue on the fan.
Winbond Hardware Doctor -> abit cd
                          system 1 temp is 28.5 C
                          system 2 temp is 34 C
                          CPU temp is 25.5 - 26 C

I attached the thermal cable (additional temp detector) that came with the hardware to the video card fan. I think these temps are noraml, BGII still crashes when I put the CPU speed back to 800 133.

rubank! His Proccessor is a PIII 800 EB so it's the 133Mhz x 6 version, NOT the 6x100 Processor you're thinking of!

                            I bet it's his RAM...

                                Stevie dear,

if you clock a PIII 600E at 133 FSB
your bios will report PIII 800EB.

I know, I have one myself (currently at 140 FSB) and I also have an abit mobo (BF6).

I´m not even sure the 800EB was ever released in SECC2 format.

                                rubank

ps. Mem problem? Well sedka says he has a pc150 module, why wouldn´t it run at 133? One of my modules is a noname pc100 and runs happily at 140 together with a noname pc133 module. ds.
