I just saw there is a new beta of powerstrip
that has o/c suport for the g450 chip!
So please! that's the thing i was most intresting in.... What the g450 ptential in o/c?
Can you guys... the ones who have it.. tell me your results?
Generally it suposed to have great results...
0.18core!
using pasive cooling.. can get to new highs with fan on it...!
some reviewers told me it is only on 65mhz!
So please! Show some numbers guys!

Powerstrip, altho has a slider for OCing the G450, it won't do you much good. This isn't all that's needed (simple slider) and hasn't been updated since last May (ie no direct/correct OC support for the G450).

Hi Rubank,

maybe I got an old version of PStrip, cos it reported slightly off clack values and therefore I didn't dare to use it for OCing ... (no need to bust my BIOS, you know ?)

I'll check entech again and see if they have a newer version.

Yesterday I tried version 2.78 and still reports false clock values ...

Never tried it myself, but I think he was asking about the 3.0 beta here, not 2.78 which is pretty dated...

Okay then ... this beta version sort of works.



It still reports slightly off clock values, but at least I was able to raise my clocks to 140MHz core and 180MHz memory (360MHz eff., since it's DDR mem).

I forgot to bring my benchmark results, but the gain was in the 5-15% area ...

Despite that, it's still slower than my former G400 that ran at MAX clockspeeds.

PS: I know that the core is able to go higher, but the mem flakes out at 185(370)MHz, so I was stuck to those settings above ...

Maybe you G450 owners should bug Kjliew to update MGATweak and make it G450-compatible.

With the possibility to clock the Mem and core more independently, I guess the G450 could look quite good.
My G400 does 165MHz core, so I guess the lower micron G450 could reach 180core & 180DDR/360Mem...
This should easily beat a G400Max...
