  • Abit BE6-II ver1.2 with G400

Here some tips for BE6-II users (it might work for some other mobos).

Explore SOFTMENU III, find, and set 'em:
    Spread spectrum > Disable
    AGP speed > Default (important!!)
I/O voltage > 3.50 crank it up is useless
Assign IRQ for VGA and USB
    Init VGA first > AGP
    Use ACPI > No

    Tips and Note:
AGP Speed: Fast > let AGP runs 2x and above
Normal> force AGP 1x, it won't budge even using Matrox TechSupport s'ware
Default> able to use your own setting

PIRQ_# setting can be use to assign IRQs to certain hardware of yours, browse 'em and see what it handles.

Disabling ACPI will free one IRQ and it will fire your CPU with more power thus gaining extra performance.
WARNING disabling ACPI will raise your CPU's (processor and cards) temp.

If you have an internal Fax/Modem without any InfraRed device, disable COM2 (IRQ3) and set your modem to work with IRQ3

If you only use 1 or 2 IDE device put 'em in one channel: master-slave so can disable secondary IDE channel thus freeing up one IRQ.
Extra IRQ can be assign to HPT370 UDMA controller if you using UDMA 66/100 devices.

    Merry X'mas for everybody
