I believe the reviewer was a wee bit dim also.

The person who designed the web page is practically off, let alone dim, try it with IE 5.5, the text is in the right column and cropped.

Below Average graphics card (for a gamer).

The thing that makes is a professional card is that its a very solid and reliable card and it won't lock up your PC. It also compatible with 99% of motherboards out there even though they have a AGP 1.0 revision. The reason why Matrox are still earning from this is because Nvidia's new MX cards run too hot, they are unreliable and don't work in 50% of motherboards out there. If you were putting together a million dollar deal shipping your product installed in a PC OEM would you pick Nvidia?

So the Matrox G450 is a professional card. It is not designed for gamers as it will be unsupported by software houses very shortly.

** Being whopped by a ten year old at quake 2!!!! ARgg!

          Another G450 review!

Don't know if someone has linked this already!

Like I said, the Millennium G450 is not a card for hardcore gamers, but a videocard for professional users who would use it to work on spreadsheets, do some typing, and watch a DVD from time to time. Games are not entirely out of the picture however, but if you plan on fragging very often in Q3A or UT, this card doesn't look up to the challenge from the specs. Occassional gamers who enjoy Starcraft, Red Alert 2, etc, won't be dissapointed with the G450 since it delivers them the best image quality available.

Erm sorry for being a bit dim but why does using a spreadsheet, doing some typing and watching a DVD from time to time make you a professional user?
