I find people's faith so refreshing. I can't believe you've (we've) all been waiting for the G800 for so long, when everything points to the fact that it's never going to come out. Let's face it...Mtx isn't out of the game, but they sure botched this one up.

Oh yeah, and also, I find it so humourous to look through this forum (I've been monitoring it for a long time, although never in an official sense), and see all the well-informed claims about what the G800 will have, what Fusion is, etc., and everything I've seen so far (with a very few exceptions) has led me to believe that most of you haven't the faintest clue.

What I want to know is, why do people do that? I've seen so many people say 'Fusion...oh yeah that means they're going to have two chips on the card.' I'm not saying Mtx isn't going to have a dual-chip version of their next card, but that's not what Fusion is. Crikey...that's just false information and crap. I mean, if you don't know something for real, why pretend you do? You're all anonymous anyways, so it's not like people can actually come and pat you on the back.

It's just weird.

Well just a couple of comments as you are being so judgemental here Nihilist. Firstly any specs that may have been posted here are merely reposts of what people have found through other websites. No one has claimed to be in the know and posted anything as "real". Any speculation on what people think things like the Fusion might be have mostly been light hearted threads to pass the time.

If you want to post such statements and have people believe that you know what you are talking about then why don't you enlighten us as to what you "official" position is and why you are in the know, afterall we are all anonymous.

This is a users forum, people chat and speculate, no one is claiming to be an authority on what is happenning with Matrox, why do you perceive that to be a problem? It happens in every forum all over the Net. Go over to Matrox's official forums and you will see the same thing. There are people here that do know however, they are official Matrox beta testers and employees so are under NDA and cannot divulge that information.

But then again if you have been "monitoring" these forums for so long as you claim you'd know all that already. Why would you be "monitoring" these forums? It's just weird.
