G450 LE

I would like if somebody could tell me more about this card - I suppose LE stands for LightEdition, since it only has 16MB of memory. Still, it is DualHead.
I couldn't find any information on the Matrox official Website, so I guess it is up to you people to help me find out more about it.

The LE (Low End ) is the cheapest model of G450. It's a bulk card, comes with slower RAM, and some models of the LE don't even come with the breakout cable (you might need to buy that separatly direct from Matrox).

Thanks. I kind of guessed that myself. Since the card itreplaces was an old Ati AllInWonder, it is sort ofa progress.

Can you also tell me if it has 2 separate Ramdacs (so I don't have to unplug it to check this detail) ?

Yes, it has 2 RAMDACs, both integrated onto the main chip (wheras the G400's second RAMDAC was a separate chip).

I have one in my machine "testing" right now. Picture quality is very very good. In fact I think it is better than the G400 that I popped out last night to put it in. I simply put it in, Me said it had found new hardware , configured the 6.21 software and rebooted, voilá, pretty pictures.
