Card: Matrox g400 Dual Head
After a frustrating time trying to make my own break out cable I found that the pins documented in the Pin-out FAQ is not what my card outputs.
I found the following differences:
According to matrox:
Pin 1 = Composite Video out
Pin 2 = Y(S-Video)
Pin 3 = C(S-Video)
Pin 4 = Not Connected
What it actually is on my card:
Pin 1 = Y(S-Video)
Pin 2 = C(S-Video)
Pin 3 = Not Connected
Pin 4 = Composite Video out
The rest of the pins are correct, (there mostly ground) You have to have 12 shorted with 15 so that the card knows that the cable is plugged in and wants to output the correct set of signals.
I am curious to find out if anyone else has found the same problem, I bought my card OEM in the UK.
