  • Hey BBoys....

I love my G400, but it is starting to show it's age. I have one question for the Beta Boys, will it be worth the wait?

    ------------------
    Primary system, Asus P3B-F1, PIII 550E o'cd to 733, 128Mb PC133 RAM, 15 Gb LM drive, HP CDRW & Travan drive, SBLive, 3Com 905C NIC, G400 and a Sceptre 17" monitor.

Secondary system, ASUS P3B-F1, PIII 450 o'cd to 600, 128Mb PC100 RAM, 18Gb KA, 5x CL DVD Kit, ZIP Drive, AWE64, Intel EPro+ PnP NIC, AOpen GeForce2 MX and a Sceptre 17" monitor.
Nothing sadder than seeing a beautiful theory getting slammed by an ugly fact!

Yes it will be worth the wait, if you save yourself for that one special gal (or guy). Don't waste your virginity on some taudry Saturday night in the back seat of your Pinto.

I think he means will the next mysterious Matrox card be worth the wait.
I guess thats all a matter of opinion though.

From my perspective if it doubles the power of the G400MAX (which I don't think is all that much to ask) then its probably worth it.

I dunno, it sounded an awful lot like he needed some dating advice...

The beta boys haven't had the next Matrox product yet. I on the other hand have and will be posting a preview very soon...

for real? that would be cool!

Be sure to do some 3DMark2k default benchmarks on a highend CPU.. I want to see what exactly has changes since the G400

And of course some info on the technology used in the chip... is it still based on the G200 core, like the G400 mostly is?

Of course beta-boys can answer cause they know stuff that others may not know (and if they think it can't harm them to tell something)

oh, and if you want feature info: check into some DirectX 8.0 pixel shader v1.1 info, since the nVidia Geforce only supports v1.0

If you take a look at the main page, Ant has put up a preview of the G450 eTV.
