how do i disable agp sidebanding?

Dropping the transfer rate to 1x does not disable sidebanding - it simply increases the time required to complete a sideband operation (to 2 AGP clock cycles)...

seems like it. I have downloaded the AGP specification from developer.intel.com and it specifies sideband transfers for AGP1x. so, how to disable it?

Heh,heh, while people are discussing disabling SBA, I'm discussing enabling it!! Sorry for running the stream backwards!!
But, if SBA has come factory disabled (as on my Asus TNT2 Pro) is it advisable to turn it on? They might have done it due to some problems with Super 7 socket mobo's which the TNT2's had, but one never knows......... and how much would be the performance difference with SBA enabled?
