Why would Matrox unveil 2 chips? I would expect the chips to be the same. The board architecture, on the other hand, would probably make the difference (if there is one) between a "Gamer" board and a "Business" board.

btw- since everyone is speculating to and fro around this place, I'd like to speculate the the walls at Matrox are light blue.

      ROTFL,
that sure would make a nice name for M's next-gen chip: TCFKAG800 - the chip formerly known as G800
But we named the *dog* Indiana...

        Amish,

Why wouldn't they? If one is a total new core and the other is a progression, it could very well serve two markets.

Sorry, I guess that didn't come out they way I planned.

I kinda meant that I didn't think that Matrox would announce 2 chips at the same time. For example:

We'd like to introduce our new chips, the GXXX and GXXY. We plan to market the XXX for business and the XXY for gamers.

I figured they might just make a "Business" board and a "Gamer" board out of the same chip...kinda like the 400 and the 400MAX.

I guess what you meant was: "this is the last you'll hear from me under this account...now I'll make up a new account and pretend to be someone else, like any good two-faced back stabber would"

The reason I ask, blue helix, is because right here you said that was the last we were going to hear from you. Well, you can't stay away from such a bunch of friendly guys can you?

Don't worry, Martin, I have saved all the pages and all of your posts as both nihilist and as Blue_Helix. So, deleting them is not going to do much good.

Man this sucks when someone starts deleting their post out of the middle of a thread. Throws the whole thing off. Guess some people just can't stand behind what they write.

Man, why did you guys go and ruin the surprise? I mean, he's been posting for weeks, and just as he seems like he might post something really incriminating, you let the cat out of the bag...

sheesh, you people need to learn timing.
