No high refresh rates with Max 400 in 1280x960 pixels in second monitor?

Hello all

I use a Pentium IV, 256 ram, Windows ME system. Both monitors are brandnew Iiyama Vision Master Pro 510 (22").

When i set both screens at 1280x960 pixels, i can only set the refreshrate for both monitor at 75 hz (second monitor was 60 hz, but i manually increased it with the advanced Matrox monitor settings...

When i decrease the resolution to 1152x864 i can set higher refresh rates, but really want the 1280x960 resolution. Can someone help me please?

I'm not sure about the exact limitations, but the second RAMDAC of the G400 is limited to something like the refresh you mentioned (at that res.)

If you want to display a larger res, I advise you to use a G450 (which is capable of much higher res. on the second head, something like 1600x1200x75hz, which you will like very much on your 22" monitor! :-PP)

Right now I'm using NT and have my G400 32MB DH set to
primary display @ 1280x1024x32bpp@100Hz
secondary display @ 1280x1024x32bpp@75Hz

runs like a charm ...

But I don't have ME, so maybe this ain't no help at all.

PS: Update your G400 BIOS ...

The secondary display on a G400Max is limited to a pixelcount of 135.000px, because the RAMDAC for the 2nd display runs only at 135Mhz (1st display: 360Mhz).

So these are the maximum refresh-rates of the 2nd display:

75 Hz @ 1280x1024/960
94 Hz @ 1152x864
121 Hz @ 1024x768
