  • OpenGL32.dll

I've downloaded a few screensavers, benchmarks and demos in the last few days.

And all refuse to start 'cause they find no OpenGL32.dll...

Okay, I admit to have done a bit of confusion on my PC in the last days...but how the hell can I have lost a DLL????

However, I have Win98 SE. Can anybody help?

(just strarting feel idiot, last 3-4 threads I started were help requests...)

OpenGl32.dll is your openGL ICD. It should be in c:\windows\system or whatever you call your instal folder.

If you have lost it, then you can either uninstall your drivers and reinstal them, or let me know what driver version you are using, and if I have a machine running that version Ill email it to you.

      Thanks for the reply, Ali.

Well, I'm sure the DLL is not in my system -but do not ask me why-.

Actually I'm using the latest drivers, the 6.50

If you could send me the file it wold be really appreciated.

However, just a question: who install the OpenGL.dll file?
I've checked the 6.50 package, and it not seems to contain that file...

opengl32.dll is NOT a part of the matrox drivers. It is a part of Windows. You will not find it in the drivers package. You need to get it from your Windows CD, from one of the CAB files...

Kruzin might be right about that. I just checked the date on opengl32.dll, and its VERY old.

I got the idea it was the ICD because of the TurboGL driver installing a version of it in your game directorys.

Oh well, learn something new every day

              Thx, Ali.
              It works perfectly.

So, I can say: GLExcess is ugly.
