the 3D quality on the Mystique 170 (the original Mystique) was very bad, compared to the Voodoo Graphics, Permedia and Riva 128...

Quality wasn´t that bad, what lacked was bilinear filtering. They had some lousy excuse like future game would have textures so big that they wouldn´t need to be filtered to look good... I wonder what would be the the max tex size the mystique handled.
