G400 max -- Where to buy?

I'm building a new computer and have decided that the G400 max + Rainbow runner G Series is the video solution for me.

Problem is, I can't find the G400 max anywhere. I've heard it's been discontinued. Is there anywhere I can still get it new?

If not, are there any cards in current production that support the Rainbow Runner G Series AND support two PC Monitors on the Dual-Head (i.e. not the 400tv or 450etv, which appear to only support monitor + tv)

? That doesn't seem possible. It either has to be at 176/234 or 164/219. 176core speed and 219memory just can't go together, unless you changed the multipliers.

It is possible, but not recommendable; you see, the G4x0 was tuned for a 3/4 core speed/mem speed ratio. Increasing the memory speed more than the ratio core speed or the core speed more than the ratio mem speed could result in SLOWER PERFORMANCE, because say 1/3 of a cycle time would be wasted say each two cycles... you better stick to ratios like 1/2, 3/4 or 1/1. By default, the Ratio on the G4x0 is 3/4 (G400 and G450, even the LE version), so I recommend you stick with the 3/4 ratio... Anyway, you might have notice that your system showed almost now gain or even a slight loss of performance going from a 164 core speed to 179 MHz; this is due to those memory timing issues...

Oh yeah, I forgot: buy a G400

You'll have Dual-Head, G-Runner compatibility and you be able to overclock it to "greater-than-MAX" level

EG: the MAX is clocked @ 150core/200 mem, and I overclocked my G400 DH (which I bought in August 1999) to overclock it to 175/233 with just a little added cooling.

I conclude that 176/219 is virutally IMPOSSUBLE to get. I've been playing with MGAtweak for a bit.

Unless I missed something, the ONLY way to get 176/219 with the supplied multipliers in MGA tweak is with a 440 System PLL clock, which, unless you use some sort of magic, is un-attainable with a G400/MAX. The G400/MAX doens't like any PLL clock higher than 320, so how the hell are you gonna reach 440?

System PLL Clock=440mhz.

GCLK divider= 2.50, GCLK = 176mhz
MCLK divider= 2.00, MCLK = 220


Those are the only possible settings to get a 176/219 setting. Now please explain that
DZues or War-ped.
