  • 3 yr Warranty conditions

If I was to buy a Matrox card from a seller at Ebay and the card is brand new, boxed never opened. Would it qualify for the 3yr. warranty?

    How does Matrox warranties work?

Example: Western Digital will replace HDDs no questions asked. If the drive was built in lets say april '95 and it failed in Nov.'97 they'd replace it. They did for me and I wasn't the orig. owner/buyer. The drive was warrantied to work for 3 yrs. Didn't matter with whom.

Is that how Matrox video card warrantys work?

If I bought a used MAX that was built in 2000
would it remain under warranty till '03?

    Thanks, Diane

If the card is new and has never been registered you have nothing to worry about. Just register it online (the form doesn't even ask where you bought it) and you'll be covered for a full 3 years.

Even if the card is used/has been registered you probably won't have a problem. RMAs are issued through Matrox's tech support dept. and not through customer service.
