If your gonna throw money on a Radeon you might as well keep the G450 and get a new mobo/processor........

Maybe Soyo could write you a custom BIOS. Maybe you could pester them a little, see how far they'll go to get you up and running.
I think that the 1ca2 BIOS is the one that you want, now that you mention it.

ya kidding, right. soyo does not even support the II+ or III+ line of amd cpu's. problem is w2k & g450 with my modem use conflicting resources. i don't have 1 more re boot in me to try to resolve what is provably a unsolvable problem. all runs fine under me but when i get to w2k the resources get HOGGED! have never seen anything like the mess that occurs.
1ca2 will not even boot. had to plug in the old k6-2 350mz to get mb to boot so as to re flash. can't say hasn't been fun cos sure hasn't. ole g450 is all packed up and just waiting for rma#. hopefully radeon ve will be kinder or i'll be smarter and throw in towell at 1st sign of any such problems as from g450.Joe
