Please tell me what's happening here!

It started more than a year ago, we saw mentions of a "G800" in Matrox's drivers. Up until 4-5 weeks ago, this chipset was vaporware at best... Until "G550" popped around everywhere around the web. This looked even less credible to me than the G800 rumors. But G550 news these days are REALLY persistent... and with prestigious websites (nothing against MURC, but it's mostly a Matrox Users Ressource Center, as it was intended to be...) such as The Register, HardOCP, VoodooExtreme and others, and with a VERY probable launch of Matrox' new chip next week, I don't see why
we cannot discuss info about the G550 here, a 1st class forum, and have to do that in a poorly regarded one like the Crystal Ball.
All G550 info has been transfered to the Crystall Ball... because "It's not Matrox hardware"... yet. Do we have to wait for the official launch of the G550 to discuss about it? Why can't we say HERE that Matrox next card will have 2 pixel pipelines, 3 texture units per pipe, two 360 MHz RAMDAC, 32 MB of 128bits DDR SDRAM, Matrix Skinning, displacement mapping,hierarchical Z-Buffering, Dual-Head and some other goodies... ?
I'm ready to bet a nut that this thread will end up in the Soap Box (or even the Crystal Ball) in less than an hour...
