  • Monitor cable recommendations

Sorry if this is kinda off topic but I'm trying to install a MAX and the cable is becoming an obstacle.

I've got his Hitachi monitor (no BNC) and it came with the crappiest cable. I can't get it to screw/seat into either
one of my Matrox cards satisfactorily.

So I'm looking for a new cable. And this time I want a good quality one.

I was told "I'd look for one with the toroid coil and one that is fairly thick (this means that there is good shielding
incorporated into the cable. And naturally nice fittings (plugs) on either end that look like they are 'bonded' well
    to the cable."

    Can anybody add to that.
AND throw out some brand names for me, please.
    Thanks

    Belkin?
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

      Ditto.

      Belkin cables are fine.
