black white output on dvd max

I get black and white images when connected to the tv. I used to get color but dduring the passed week I only get b/w. Has anyone experienced this problem? I supect that the cause of the problem are cables and connections got worned out trough time. I use 10m rca cable and 10 m RF cable. Do you have any idea.
