image problems with my max. any suggestions?

Thanks Cartman, but I just tried to get a BNC cable for free from Iiyama, and as a BNC cable won't really make my situation better (and it is ok for now, seems I have finally found a good position for my cable ) I don't want or need to buy one.. Just thought if I could get one for free, why not try it?

I've noticed the same problem with my G400Max
used with an AOC 9Glrs 19" Monitor
But this problem only happens at a specific resolution (1280x1024) and then, only at the 85hz refresh rate. If I change it to 75hz, no problems. I suspect that a tweak util could finely adjust the refresh so that it can be used at a rate closer to 85hz.

Numan: If the problem disappears if you slap your monitor lightly on one side or if you wiggle the CGA cable close to the monitor, you seem to have a bad contact somewhere inside your monitor. I'd get that repaired as long as you still have warranty on it.

If not, try playing around with your monitor's moire settings.

iiyama paid for shipping again, and i mailed them the monitor.

i received an email response..

"THE REPAIR CENTER REPORTS THEY CAN NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM"

If you live in a high noise area and there is a poor solder connection on the BNC or VGA connector then you or they may or may not see the problem. This poor solder connection might be good for the moment... I'd advise to ask them to check all soldering connections before returning it to you.

MOst techs don't check for this and it can and will burn you (and them) if they don't.
