  • G450 crashes sometimes

It's a long story since I upgraded my system to a Duron 650MHz and a G450 card. The first mobo I used for the system was EPoX 8KTA+, whn I was using it, I found the screen may sometimes lockup, about twice a week. Later, I sold this mobo and bought a ABit KT7A to use, I then experience many problems on the combination, sometimes it may have a screen lockup, another more series problem is that there is ocassionally a screen of flashing color lines appear, just the same as u overclocked ur video card too much, but I had not yet overclocked my G450 card. And I had already attached a fan to its little heatsink, it seems that's no help to my problems. What are the possible causes of the above problems, can it be caused by a defective G450 video card? And how can I fix it if my card is alright?

I doubt that it's G450 more likely your suffering from the dreaded 686 bug. Whats the full details of your rig and what cards are in what slots.
You may what to look at Viahardware forums as there loads of people with problems and various fixes. You can find viahardware forums at the link below http://bbs.pcstats.com/viahardware/index.cfm?

So it is not the problem on my video card but VIA chipset?
I start to lose confidence to VIA's chipsets...
