Wow, first post with the new system. Seems faster.

Conclusion : We wanted to create a ultra quiet high performance workstation - we have succeeded in the quietness and the CPU power- but missed badly when we choosed Matrox 32MB Millenium G450 DualHead - I should have known better but belived I could get it to run at x4 which the AMD 761 chipset supports -no way : it runs at x1 - and does not perform much better than a 3 year old 16MB G200 Mystique.
I contacted the Matrox "support team" - but after two weeks they haven't bothered to answer - so do yourself an favor and stay away from Matrox cards - I clearly remember how I struggled three years ago before I was able to get 2x agp transfer from the Mystique card.
Why does this guy care about 4X AGP when he buys a G450? Doesnt he know it will only make about 1fps difference in most games, and no difference in 2D
He aslo states that hes building a workstation. Why does he want 4X AGP?
