  • Where are the G550 reviews ?

Augest will be here next week the month the card comes out, ussually reviews happen a month or longer before the card comes out. Or does the card perform so poorly that reviews are not being done?

Someone I think from the BB said the card would be out the next couple of weeks to the reviewers and that was a month ago, so what's up ?

I was wondering the same thing.

We know the BBs have their cards, so can guess that the reviewers have theirs.

I would say that the NDA runs out on the 31st or the 1st.

If there arnt a few reviews up by then, then something must have gone wrong.

Besides, I dont see how it realy matters. We know its not a gaming card. If you are after a new business card, then it would be interesting to see how the Dual head has matured (not that it isnt already wonderful).

I can just imagine all the review sites saying things like 'Its worse than a 1.5 year old GeforceMX' and not taking into acount the price and quality.

I would expect a lot of Quake3 benchmarks, and some NvideaMark 2001 numbers.

G400 wasn't a gaming card either, but I bought one 2 years ago.

HUH??? If you read Matrox's PR about this card, they even say thats its quote "High End/gamers Card" in their last interview!

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

From the interview at systemlogic :

"With the Matrox G550, the target was not the high-end enthusiast/gaming market unlike with the Matrox G400 and Matrox G200, when they were first launched. "

I am waiting for the G550 reviews too, but I dont expect much - maybe there will be some kind of G550MAX ?
