I'm guess I'm so spoiled by my Max in that I never see any of these artifacts. My buddy was really wowed by the black level of the Radeon VE (uses it for DVD playback to projector mainly). I understand it has worse visuals than the full Monty. I'll have to look for these problems the next time I'm over. Does the text shimmering happen with all colors? Including black on white?
