  • TV Output and Video Player

    Hello folks.

This is the problem I have since many months...
I have a Dual Head G400, and I want to watch a movie with Media Player and to be able to see it on TV. So I just use the Dual Head Clone option, and open the file with Media Player.
Now I can see the movie on the Monitor, but not on TV where it stays black.

The research I made give me one answer : in the Clone Options, if I uncheck the checkbox "Keep optimal refresh when possible", then the monitor goes to 50Hz (PAL) and I can see the movie on the TV.

Now, with the new drivers (6.51) for win98se, the option "Keep optimal refresh when possible" is no more available !!!

    Please help me.

Best regards to all of you, and NO, my next video card will NOT be a Matrox card, as I still play 3D games...

With the latest drivers you don't have an option to enable clone mode anymore. You have to assign a shortcut key for this feature (can't remember where in the driver settings) and only when you press that key it clones your desktop.

If you want to see movies on your TV just enable the DVD Max feature and any movie you open in a player on your monitor will display full screen on your TV .

Edit: Ups, so you have an option, still, you have to press the assigned shortcut key to activate it on the second display (TV, monitor). Sorry dude, my G400's been sitting on a shelf a couple of meeters away for the last 3 months, so I forgot some things about it. Kyro II's fault.

Thanks but I want Clone, not DVD Max

I've tried DVD Max option, and it looks to work quite fine, but I dealing with span for movies is to complex. I'm using PowerDVD for example, and it works fine, and allow tp span the screen. The result on the TV is awfull, as it doesn't really copy the computer screen.

Do you have another idea ?
