The composite TV-out on my G450 doesn't work :-(

What I've got:

1. Matrox G450 AGP DualHead 32Mb
Current driver 6.22, Bios version 1.6-29
Serial number LBF59228
2. Asus Motherboard A7V133/Duron 800 Mhz/256Mb RAM
3. Windows Me 4.90.3000 with Via 4in1 Drivers version 4.32
4. TV Samsung 25A6WTR Plano :-)

In April a changed my old Video Card (ATI Rage Furry) to Matrox.
All what I need-see my DVD in TV. Picture on TV (from Composite Out)
was wonderful. But after 3 week-TV Out was Dead :-( No signal, no picture :-(
I replaced card to new one , all will be OK, but now ... I have similarly situation :-(
Any comments ???

P.S. ATI Card worked long term...
P.P.S. I also connect VCR through this video cable...it work

First off, welcome to the MURC ...

About your problem, there could be several reason why you don't see a picture on your TV and I guess first try should be that you enable clone mode in order to see if your desktop gets cloned onto TV.

Please post your assignment of IRQs and the version of DirectX you're running
Also, you should update your Matrox driver (uninstall PD6.22 before updating through control panel > software).

How do you connect to your TV exactly, ie. how long is the cable, what connectors and plugs are used and how is your DualHead configured ?

Does it happen with all DVDs ?
What region codes are they ?
What DVD player are you using ?
Does it work with other formats ?

Report back and we'll see what we can do for you ...

I using about 1 meter cable,
DirectX 8, Matrox DVD Player 6.11.22.0006.
IRQ , as I can see in Device Manager 11 (Shared ?)
I connect Composit, in my TV model S-Video connector not present :-(

Clone mode desn't work too :-( I tried reinstall Matrox Driver, using PDUninst and also I try fresh install of Windows in another HDD-no result :-(
3 days ago all worked (CloneMode,DVD films, DivX films, avi ...) !!!

Any suggestions ???

Did you try to conect your tv while the pc was on, my friend accidentally done that and fried the composite out port on his graphics card
