can dual monitors=stereo vision?

I don't know if this has been done before, but it occurred to me now that I have 2 monitors of the same size, could you not put a baffle between the monitors of about 18"-24" long, position this in line with your nose and use the monitors to give 3D?

I should think it might be quite uncomfortable, but driver implementation shouldn't be too difficult.

Appologies if its already been covered, or if this is in the wrong forum. I did wonder about Soap Box.

I brought up dual-monitor 3D in one of the "G800" threads, "Fusion" or somesuch.

Doesn't work too well for people like me and your "user" ... we've got unidentical pairs of eyes.

Yeah, I woudn't benefit too much myself, having a rather naff left eye. I hope I'm in a minority. The crap drawing was a (un)happy accident.
