Disturbing Error message

I tried to watch a DVD in my G400 Millennium 32MB DH card after a very long break becuase I purchased the Creative DXR3 decoder card to watch DVD's. I tried to watch a DVD using the Matrox DVD software which came on the installation CD when I bought the card (2 years ago) . The software won't run because it says another app is preventing DVD playback. So I did ctrl-alt-del and killed everything other than "Explorer, PDesk and sysbar" but still it said an app was stopping it playing. I tried to use the Windows ME DVD player and got a shock, it said "This graphics card does not support DVD playback" rather odd.

Any ideas, is my software out of date??

Well, tell me if you istalled the dvd software that came with the decoder card? If so just uninstall those or go to the decoder software porperties and try to find something about the dvd payback properties. Hope I've been of help.
