So.. where are we headed??

I'm sorta thinking about upgrading my video card.. but no way am I going anywhere any s*** from Nvidia or ATi.. I swore that my next video card would be a Matrox so I'm just sorta wondering how long think that will be..
I realise most people can't "tell" me any news but what are the current rumours/beliefs/etc.. ???
