I've got several devices which are sharing IRQs in my box (under Win2K Prof. /w SP). Scanning the list of devices using the IRQs, I noticed the G400MAX. This raises a couple of questions.
1. Do I need to devote an IRQ to the G400? My BIOS has the option of assigning an IRQ or not. What is the downside to not using an IRQ with the G400?
2. One of the devices sharing an IRQ is my G400, which uses the same IRQ as my SCSI controller. Given that both of these devices seem to be working correctly, is there any downside (loss of performance, etc.) with having the G400 share an IRQ?
Thanks.
