Matrox DVD player under W2K

I've been using the RT2000 version of the Matrox DVD player (v6.1.22) when viewing DVDs with my Max under W2K. I now find that I don't get any video (on the primary or secondary monitor) when I enable DVDMax mode. I've got some experiments to try but I was wondering if anybody else was having problems running this variant. It use to work for me so I suspect a driver version issue: I'm currently using PD 5.72.

I got it to work again by installing the PD 5.32 drivers. It still fails with 5.82 beta and 5.72. Does anybody know how to get a Matrox DVD player to work with the current drivers?
