SCART-RGB question (G400)

Hi

I´m in the process of building a SCART cable between a dedicated HomeTheaterPC and the TV. I live in a PAL country so I´d like to use the RGB capabilities of the G400.
A few questions:

1. Looking at http://forum.matrox.com/mgaforum/For...ML/000003.html and http://forum.matrox.com/mgaforum/For...ML/000001.html .
What kind of signal is carried between VGA/pin 4 and SCART/pin 20 in SCART-RGB mode? Is it some kind of sync signal?

2. I will be using a cable with 5 separately shielded 75 ohm cables wrapped in a common shield. Should the common shield be connected only at the source (=computer VGA plug) to prevent ground loops?

1. Yes, it is a sync signal.
2. Shield pins are directly connected on the Matroxes card anyway, so there is no difference.

Speaking of that cable, does anyone know whether there are any problems with cables of extreme length (say 20m and more) between the card and the TV and what can be done about them?

I'm bridging about 15 meters, using Y/C (S-video) cabling and picture quality is still awesome ...
