Hi,
I had modified my G550 pins to allow it working in standard VGA1 and VGA pclk in 85Hz (both text and grfx vga mode)
As i know and already used the correct possition in pins file are 45 (graphics) and 46 (text). Those two bytes have the default value of 0xFF. I changed them to 0x8F and 0x8A to create 85Hz signal in both modes allowing me to use my 21" monitor without flicker in standard modes.
Unfortunately Matrox changed something in their latest two versions of BIOS and now only the second byte (position 46) works as before. Pos 45 byte dowsn't allow any change and when i try to modify it my G550 didn't boot up.
I really don't know what Matrox changed and why but while it worked in pre 1.3 bios versions now (1.3 and 1.4) doesn't work at'all.
Any help ?
Regards
Sakis
