if you can find a cheap voodoo3, that's your best solution for that setup (had something similar once-upon a time). Very good 2d (no, not matrox good, but close to the G200) and good 3d

very true (for 3d). but... for an unserious gamer, eeking out the most perf possible on that old system is probably the best way to go rather than for eye-candy. 3dfx did have fantstic looking 16bit color due to their rendering.... but it certainly is NOT 32bit. tough to find, though.
I've installed the card into my sister's comp. Everything seemed to be fine, until i've ran 3DMark ran (showed about 1200 points), q3 ran (~20fps).
In DxDiag the 'agp texturing' button is grey and is disabled. The 4.37v Via driver package and dx80a and ati driver version 4-13-9016-efg are installed.
I would say the tnl part is out of order.
