Yerha. Pardon my french, but anybody can publish specs. Actually making, selling and earning, thats for the few!

I am very interested in seing any benchmarks for this card.
I will buy it, if its at least as fast as a geforce 3.
Odds are that I will buy it.
Still would like to feed my skepticism with some benchmarks.

How about asking the betaboys how much, um, free time they have?

Are you expecting to have less soon?

I expect we'll be a little busier before long.
                Hopefully sooner than later.
Not that we haven't been keeping busy with the Gxxx drivers and ICDs (they have done some good things with the Gxxx OGL ICD in the last few weeks...)

Kruzin, how late in the driver process do you guys see the cards/drivers? Or is that like asking about hockey injuries during the playoffs?

This BB is VERY busy, but then again this place has more irons in the fire than Parhelia and more companies than Matrox to test for.

MadScot: you're getting us into NDA turf. We can't comment directly, but as a general rule this sequence applies to all the hardware I've tested:

                        1. the final silicon and prototype production boards have been assbmbled and tested

                        2. the beta driver builds are stable enough to test

                        3. the cards are shipped to the beta testers

                        4. the drivers are posted to the beta FTP

                        5. the hard work starts, often lasting several hours a day and stretching late into the night

We only get the cards when they are final hardware, usually a couple weeks to a month before they are available retail.

Thank Doc and Kruzin! That was more than I was expecting to get, but it is a good look at the basic Beta process. I only do software, so its nice to know a little about hw product testing and development. I'm sure all the *pain* of getting to try Parhelia a month or so early will be unbarable

                                MadScot-
Technically we are only software beta testers, testing the drivers.
We are not involved with the beta hardware at all (as much as some of the BBs have begged to be ).
