  • Do believe the hype?

OK folks we've had rumours, leaks and borken NDAs. What's your initial impression, does it live up to the hype from what you've seen or are you bitterly disappointed?

Strange, I can press reload, and it does reload... Perhaps they don't allow new connections ?

Could be, but haig also mentions that they are experiencing the slashdot effect. http://forum.matrox.com/mgaforum/For.../001138-2.html

To say it's up is maybe pushing it a bit Though after hitting reload you roll a dice and on a 6 you get were you want, on a 1-5 the page stalls )

I voted fot WBTSSB, but only because there wasn't a choice for what I really feel... I am glad that Matrox is back in the game, but the fact that Parhelia is (currently) based on 0.15 tech, lacks any major kind of occlusion culling and is a lot less programmable than the upcoming cards can lead to trouble down the road. Then there is this thing in my sig... I don't intend to go for the most expensive version, so I'm not sure what I'll be missing.

But that is something we will have to see later, and I like to think like Anand - they did what was possible with the current manufacturing process. And for now I am glad that Matrox has a product that is good enough for anything one can currently throw at it

I think we should now have the Parhelia-effect, any site that post a preview quickly goes down

Glad others are feeling it now not just us. I get the feeling Parhelia is generating a little interest, I bet nVidia are spitting blood

Well, perhaps our network has priority on the major Belgian routers (Ghent University, we have a direct link to Belnet in Brussels)...
The site loads slowly, but it does work...

Hope you can reach the site soon...
