The following comment makes me wonder:

"Matrox has always been secretive about its clock speeds in both memory and core but it was simple to figure out what the clock for its memory was running at. On what were they calculating the memory clock?

It has been stated on several sites, that the DDR ram was running at 312.5 Mhz as opposed to 325 on the GF4

but Matrox has a 256 Bit bus compared to the 128 Bit

The reason I even mention the GF4 is simply to show, that running at 312.5 is not impossible since the GF4 ram runs at 325
even though the parhelia ram is 32 bits and not 16 bit.

I didn't say anything about the width of the bus ....

Does anybody know what the speed is of this type of memory (Samsung DDR Ram K4D26323RA)? According to this site, each chip is 128MB so the card on the picture is a Pro version

Looking at the "33" at the end of the number on the chip I'd suppose it's 3.3 ns RAMs. They're rated for 1/3.3*1000 = roughly 303MHz.

Well, they are related. The more bits you have trying to hit the same destination at one time, the more difficult it is to manage.

Yes, with the -2A chips. The displayed -33 chips are as supposed 3.3ns ones rated for 300MHz. But then it's only a prototype/test-card.

Each chip is 128Mbits!

Looking at the pics on http://www.pcpop.com.cn/readnews.asp?id=6984 there's 8 chips, so there's 128Mbytes on that card most probably?

Or is 128Mb = Pro what you meant?
