Yeah, I fried my card yesterday with this syndrome also. Problem is that is not all that easy to ground a TV or radio since they have only 2-pin powercords. But I will try now with connecting the scart shield/ground together with the ground (PE) on the extensioncord for the computer. Also the stereo will recieve the same treatment since I also get shocks from the rca-connectors there which are connected to the computer.

Seems as there is a lot of ground currents and high potential difference between the aperatures now, and that is never good.

But if your some of your colors are gone your G550 is probably an ex G550 , but I recommend you to hook together the ground signals between the aperatures.

Yes this can be the reason, that there is a voltage difference between two grounds ... i will check everytihing today and try to solve the grounding problem. Do you have the tv cable antena permanently connected to tv ? The antena is another issue and it has also a different ground potential. It seems tahat there is something dead only on svhs out on g550 because the composite output works fine ...
      thanx for info

I had a similar thing happen a while back, it was a krappy stereo that was causeing it (it killed the sound input for line in 3 on my sony vhs)
The stereo was an old sony thing.

since you said you got shocks off the RCA, I would disconnect it and see if thing are better without it
