Has Fan Noise Improved?

Back when G400 first came out I got a G400max, but the fan was so noisy it was louder than anything in my system and by a good amount. So I sent the card back and got a G400.

Now with the new card coming out, has matrox made a much quieter fan?

The fan on my Gainward geforce3 is very quiet and I don't even hear it at all, and my system is pretty quiet to begin with.

Never had a problem with hearing the fan on my G400MAX - its quieter than a lot of other cards i have heard... even when mounted to a board outside of a case...

also, my cases tend to dampen the noise it would produce or mask it with louder fans...
