Make sure to check the weights when you look. Most TV mounts can't handle monitors. A 19" is often over 50lbs, especially flat screens.

Well, if I get a CRT it's gonna be at least a 21" one since the screen size is always less with CRT's. I dunno, what does everyone here suggest. Mounting a huge ass CRT or a 19" LCD??

if you'll be doing plenty of gaming and video playback, stick to the CRT. LCDs are coming close, but are not quite there with the color quality and motion graphics that CRTs provide.

Ok, I need help finding a good CRT. I prefer a flat screen. My spending limit is around 800 dollars. This was one I was looking at:

I heard this Planar LCD is good:

Well thanks, but I am looking for a CRT (if I get an LCD, I already know what it will be). The Planar suggests a response time of 25ms, but don't let that fool you. It uses MVA, and the response time for black/white might be 25ms, but MVA's are known for their problems with gray/black or gray/white and have a terrible fall time dealing with grays. You'll get more ghosting than you ever dreamed with it....

Man, if you can, I suggest you go with the Sony E200/G200 (17"ers) or E400/G400. You can hardly beat the quality of those monitors, and you can now get a E400 for $300 on amazon.com But, I suggest that you get the E/G 200/400 version, the not 210/220/410/420 version, which are cheaper and not as good-looking... Been with Sony for more than 10 years and owned 9 of their monitors: top visual quality, at a price...

Here's another CRT that I am considering. http://www.iiyama.com/product2/HA202DT.HTM

Company isn't that popular, but I have heard good things about them. Still can't find any good mounting arms for a CRT though.

Iiyama is for monitors what Matrox is for videocards. Well, that's my opinion anyway

Iilyama I've seen a lot of good ones at work however my own experiance isn't too good. I sent three back in one and half years. The last time they sent me a new 19 inch model but it was the equivlent in 2nd hand price so wasn't much good. I'm also not too keen on the Mitsubishi tube they use as all the ones I've seen have vertical convergance problems at the top and bottom of the screens and unless you've got control adjustment over this you'll notice this. My main monitor I'm using is Mitsubishi Diamond Plus 220. I've also got an older nec Multisync FE950 and this has top and bottom Vertical covergence control why my 22 inch hasn't got it I don't know.

The high end Iiyama's have a great name, just don't get the budget models. I have an excellent VM Pro 450, and a very average S900. Both are 19", both do 1600x1200. One is good.

I've noticed they tend use the Diamondtron NF the Mitisubishi tube which is one of the reasons I'm a bit hestitant.
