I updated my G200 Marvel with the latest bios on my AMD 1800 soyo DragonPlus motherboard. All was fine until I plugged it in my other PC which is a AMD 300 Epox motherboard and got the dreaded beep code for no video. I tried put the card back into the original system and again no video. Installed an old PCI G200 and verfied AGP aperture size was 256 and that AGP is set as the primary. Tried using the recover disk and got the following errors(wish I can find a dos capture tsr).
1.Unkown MGA?? DeviceID: 519
found g200AGP
Calc sum:0
Read sum:7b
Loading default BIN file g200agp.bin....
Calculated Pin Sum 0
E2Prom pin Sum:58
Pins has invalid checksum..
or pointer is corrupt
examing bios..
found pins (code:2)
Pins damaged, salvage information
unable to continue because of bad subsysid
PCB#:818
subsysid#:ffff
after this, the system just reboots. Can someone help. In addition, should I try with a different brand video card as a secondary? Thanks in advance.
P.S The AMD 300 was my original pc which I have used for years along with my G200 Marvel. I just recently upgrade to AMD 1800 just to play games and watch movies. If I did not have so much time on my hand I would have still be using my trusty AMD 300. Thanks again.
