  • anyone still using a Mystique?

I dug up a 2MB Mystique PCI and see if it still worked...to my amazement, it not only worked, but the 2D quality was better than the Jetway Radeon installed on my work computer.

I also picked up the 6MB SGRAM upgrade from the Matrox auction.

Anyways, what resolutions will this card do?

I've already updated the BIOS and have all the drivers on hand.

    I was hoping to do 1024 x 768 @ 32bit for Excell and 800 x 600 @ 32bit for Word Documents.

as you can guess, this is just a workstation that will run nothing more than WinXP/OfficeXP.

    Any tips or advice appreciated.

    Thanks.

It'll have no problems doing 1024x768x32 with 8mb onboard. It should go higher too assuming XP's built in drivers aren't crap.

4MB will do 1280*1024*16 as far as I know (on ATI anyways), so 8MB should be more than ample
When I was still a kid, my parents got me a Packard Bell. I've never been happier. Now it's degraded to a foot support.

I installed my old 4MB Mystique in my parents computer, cause my mom really only does AutoCAD, but she also likes Kyodai Mahjongg and that goes at about 2 fps.
