Well, just because Kyle hasn't gotten a card doesn't mean nobody has.
Sounds to me like he's just got a bruised ego for not being one of the first sites to get a card.Core2 Duo E7500 2.93, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, 4gig 1066 DDR2, 1gig Asus ENGTS250, SB X-Fi Gamer ,WD Caviar Black 1tb, Plextor PX-880SA, Dual Samsung 2494s

However, I also think it's odd to anounce the P for the second time without any hardware to back it up.Fear, Makes Wise Men Foolish !

Matrox have announced a Parhelia product just the once, today. If rumours around the Net are true then some reviewers have already got their sticky little mits on hardware. The inital technology unveiling was accompanied by hardware at the press briefings.

Kyle informed me that they don't talk to Matrox (*sigh*) and what he said is pure speculation (sad)."Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss

Here's a summary of the mini-rant:
We have had what I call a “good” relationship with Matrox for a couple of years now and I just had a long talk with their PR guy about Parhelia. We contacted them after hearing that they were shipping Parhelia review units and seeing this morning's press release. Matrox confirmed they did in fact start shipping review samples yesterday. They however will not be sending [H] a Parhelia for review. What is of interest is why.
..snip..
Matrox said they would not be sending us a review unit on the same schedule as other sites and then revealed some interesting reasons. Matrox stated that due to the nature of our testing that they were not “comfortable” with sending us a Parhelia card. They seemed to think that we would be a bit too rough on the Parhelia and possibly show some issues that the “enthusiast” might identify as weaknesses.
..snip.
Matrox stated they might have samples next week that they could ship us for review. What is funny that this morning Matrox announced shipping Parhelia cards in 12 days or so and the sites that they have already sent cards to will be posting those reviews on the 25th of this month.
..snip..
In closing, I did let Matrox know that we would be publicly commenting on this situation and it garnered a “clean-up” phone call from them as I was putting the final edit on this article. Matrox committed to shipping a Parhelia card to us tomorrow that we could post a preview on next Tuesday. They also explained that their reasoning for not sending us a first-round review sample was based on incomplete information and apparently the wrong message was conveyed to us on the testing issue.
..snip

I don't understand why they don't send him the card as many people go there so it would get alot of exposure maybe they just think that people who are gonna buy it don't go to hardocp but in their forums there are many people who say that is gonna be their next card so it is alittle odd. I think matrox feel they are gonna pay too much attention to 3dmark scores etc but i don't think he would but then again he might

While I like kyle and the gang at Hardocp (I read the site and forums daily), they are not very thorough in their reviews of computer hardware. Just check out their original article on the Parhelia chip. They practically glossed over all the image quality and other features of the chip. They only commented on the 3D game performance.
I can fully see why Matrox thought they were not competent enough to review such a full-featured product.
