  • 16-bit FPS Benchmarks?

    All I've seen is 32-bit... any BBz wanna put up benchmarks done in 16-bit?

    There have been some 16bit benchmarks, but also there the P. wasn't faster then it's opponents, I think it was even the opposite, it was more behind them than in 32bit.
    Specs:
    MSI 745 Ultra :: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ :: 1024 MB PC-266 DDR-RAM :: HIS Radeon 9700 (Catalyst 3.1) :: Creative Soundblaster Live! 1024 :: Pioneer DVD-106S :: Western Digital WD800BB :: IBM IC35L040AVVN07

      Isn't that sort of like saying, let's compare how fast our exotic sport cars can go from 0-10 MPH?

        Who'd want to buy a Parhelia and run in 16 bit colors ?

          I'd buy the parhelia for its excellent image quality in 2d and non-FPS 3d games that don't require high frames per second. However, in a first person shooter I *need* at least 85fps. If 16-bit gives it to me then I'll take it.

            Yes, but if you'd have to drop to 16 bit color for today's games, what would you do with the games that'll come out in a year ?
